Oh to be in Dublin again...
I have been to the Emerald Isle many times over the years and I always miss it when I'm not there. In the spirit of St Patrick's Day I thought I would profile a very memorable wine shop located in the fair city of Dublin.
ODOS Architects designed this wine shop for Louis Albrouze Wine Store. "Two backlit “walls of wine” were created to both sides of the store to define the interior perspective. A random pattern (within a regular setting to create a visual effect) is achieved by the light which is filtered from the ‘wall’. The ‘wall’ is made of the controlled palette of materials and colours. This is used to maximize the spread of natural light through the depth of the store whilst creating a sensuous environment and pleasant retailing dynamic." (excerpt portions from plusmood.com)
