In July 2009 I did a blog entry about historic window restoration ( http://offaydesignstudioblog.typepad.com/historic-interior-design/2009/07/historic-window-restoration.html ) and I just came across an article about a gal that shares a similar passion.
Amy McAuley started Oculus Fine Carpentry in Portland, Oregon in 2003. After dabbling in politics and retail she opened Oculus with a passion in carpentry. While working on her first preservation project (the Alvin T. Smith house in Forest Grove, Oregon- c. 1856) Amy was instantly hooked on restoring historic windows. Since then she has committed her company to specializing in window restoration. She also as a wonderful and interesting blog that she writes on the subject. Be sure to check it out!
